Out of the Box Theatre Company presents THE MISER

DESCRIPTION:

Come see THE MISER, featuring several Brooklyn College Alums The company’s first production, an adaptation by Miles Malleson, will be staged at the Bank Street Theatre in August and feature Lorraine Serabian and Lawrence Merritt in the lead roles. A new theater company, with a unique outlook on performance from both the creators’ and actors’ viewpoints, “The Miser” will be accompanied by the music of Mozart. The brainchild of its president and artistic director, Scott Robinson, Out of the Box Theatre Company will present new interpretations of period plays and contemporary classics directed and acted by professionals primarily past the age of 50. Additionally, each production will blend the words of the playwright with the music of a recognized composer.
