| TITLE: |
Important Town Hall Meeting: Master Plan for the Future |
| DESCRIPTION: |
- Presentation by Pfeiffer Partners Architects, who will present an overview of the Master Planning process and a timeline for its completion.
- Q&A by the cochairpersons of the Working Committee on Master Planning—Provost William A. Tramontano and Vice-President for Finance and Administration Steve Little.
The Master Plan will set forth the agenda for the development of the physical plant, space allocation and programmatic growth for Brooklyn College for the next decade. As such, it must be visionary, logical and comprehensive. It will have an impact on students and the instructional capacity for their learning, faculty teaching and research space, administrative services, space for cocurricular activities and much more. Over the next five months, we will assess our present and future institutional needs, and draft a plan that will allow Brooklyn College to continue to thrive. To assist us, the college has commissioned Pfeiffer Partners Architects to help develop a document that we can execute over time. Our goal is to complete the Master Plan and submit it to CUNY for review and approval by fall 2010. |
