Diploma Distribution

Congratulations, Brooklyn College graduate, and welcome to our proud alumni ranks!

Brooklyn College has partnered with Parchment to offer a digital version of your diploma in addition to your physical diploma, which means you can share your credentials again and again.

  • Easily share your digital diploma with employers with a secure link.
  • Download the file as an image or PDF to share with friends and family.
  • Post your diploma on social media, such as LinkedIn.
  • Additionally, many countries now recognize digital diplomas, and yours can serve as an alternative to the apostille.

Note that candidates for graduation in the current term will receive additional information from the Office of the Registrar. Students who are graduating at the end of the semester and need documentation that their degree will be conferred as proof for a job offer, higher education acceptance, internship, etc., before your graduation date may request a Statement of Graduation using the Registrar Request Form.

How to Claim Your Digital Degree

Since fall 2019, new Brooklyn College graduates have received their diploma electronically. Once degrees have been processed, students will receive an e-mail notification with instructions on how to claim their digital diploma.

Once you receive your digital diploma, it will always be accessible through your Parchment account. You can log in and download or share it at no cost.

Information about claiming your digital diploma will be sent to your preferred e-mail address on your CUNYfirst account. To ensure you receive your digital diploma, make sure your preferred e-mail address is up to date before you graduate.

Paper Diplomas

Along with your digital copy, Parchment will ship a paper copy to your home address as listed in your CUNYfirst account within six to eight weeks after your conferral date. To avoid your diploma getting lost in the mail, please ensure your home address is up to date before you graduate.

Students Who Graduated in Fall 2019 or Later

Diplomas were mailed to the home address listed on CUNYfirst at the time of graduation. Students who graduated in fall 2019 or later who have a question regarding their diploma should contact the Office of the Registrar via e-mail.

Students Who Graduated in Spring 2019 or Summer 2019

If you did not pick up your original diploma, you may e-mail us a request to have your diploma mailed to your permanent address.

Students Who Graduated Prior to 2019

If you graduated prior to 2019 and did not pick up your diploma, unfortunately we no longer have your physical diploma. You have to order a replacement diploma. Kindly follow the steps indicated under Replacement Diplomas below.

Replacement Diplomas

If your original diploma has been damaged or lost, you can order a new diploma. Effective August 2, 2022, Brooklyn College now provides Diploma Reorders through Parchment. Students may place a diploma reorder online through their Parchment account.

Watch this video guide on how to create an account with Parchment.

Please be mindful of the following:

  • Be sure your graduation status on CUNYfirst is listed as "Awarded" before placing a Diploma Replacement request. Orders made prior to your conferral date will be cancelled. Read these instructions on how to view your graduation status.
  • $30 payment for a replacement diploma covers one degree type (i.e., Bachelor's or Master's degree).
  • If you graduated prior to 2012, your order may take longer to process.
  • Plan ahead and submit your Diploma Replacement request with enough time to meet your deadlines.
  • Contact a Parchment learner support representative for payment discrepancies.
