Advisement: Academic Student Support
As a SEEK student, you are assigned an Academic Student Support specialist (SEEK counselor) who will work with you over the course of your undergraduate academic career. As an incoming freshman, you will engage with your SEEK counselor through workshops, seminar course, and individual advisement sessions. For incoming transfer students, we have a designated transfer counselor who assists with adjusting to a new school.
The supports that the SEEK counselors offer are identical in knowledge quality as the Brooklyn College Center for Academic Advisement and Student Success, but our services are exclusive to SEEK students, resulting in more availability and opportunity for longer advisement sessions.
