Student Opportunities

SEEK offers a variety of employment, internship, and professional growth opportunities.

Learning Facilitators

Learning facilitators consist of sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have strong academic records. Trained to conduct learning sessions, they are capable of—and comfortable with—assisting other students individually and in groups. Learning facilitators are personable, engaging, and able to clearly and concisely explain difficult concepts.

If you are interested in becoming a peer tutor, complete an application and submit it with other necessary documents (unofficial transcript, schedule, résumé, and writing sample) to 2438 Ingersoll Hall. If you qualify, you will be contacted by the SEEK tutoring coordinator for an interview.

SEEK Peer Mentors

The SEEK peer mentors serve as a mentorship support system for our entering freshmen to enhance their bond with the program. Freshmen learn helpful campus tips, experience thought-provoking interactions with classmates, and gain a new layer of support.

SEEK peer mentors consist only of upper-classman SEEK students. As a peer mentor, one gains internship experience that consists of professional development, public speaking, facilitating group discussions, leadership and problem solving, and many more practical/ transferable skills.
