DC 37 Education Fund PSC-CUNY Professional Development Fund

DC 37 Education Fund Classes are offered to full-time, per annum employees and college assistants working a minimum of 17.5 hours per week who are members of collective bargaining units represented by DC 37.

The PSC-CUNY Professional Development Fund program offers grants for full-time Faculty (PSC-CUNY Research Awards), Higher Education Officers (HEO), College Lab Technicians (CLT), and Adjuncts/CET.

DCAS Citywide Training Center (CTC)

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) offers a variety of courses from managerial, clerical, professional development, personal development, organizational and executive development, and technology, that are specially designed to meet the training and development needs of all New York City personnel through their Citywide Training Center (CTC). Professional Certifications are also available.

$60 - $250 per course

Registration

To Register for courses, employees should:

  1. Complete the Citywide Training Center Application (pdf).
  2. Have your immediate supervisor sign and e-mail the application to Juliet Manragh or Patrick Croff at hrstraining@brooklyn.cuny.edu or deliver to 1219 Boylan Hall, Office of HRS.

Applications must be submitted at least 15 business days before the course starts to prevent course cancellation.

OHRM Professional Development and Learning Management Office

The CUNY Office of Human Resource Management's (OHRM) Professional Development and Learning Management (PDLM) Office provides training and professional development opportunities designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and competencies of CUNY employees at all levels.

Course Information

PDLM Skills Enhancement Certificates for Managers and Supervisors

Managers and supervisors are qualified for a managerial or supervisory competency certificate when they complete three core courses and two elective courses within a two‐year period. Elective courses may be chosen from a list of leadership development, communications, and workplace violence prevention courses.

Cost

  • $60 per day of training for nontechnology courses
  • $15 per person per class for technology courses

Registration

To register for courses, employees should:

  1. Complete the Online PDLM Application.
  2. Print the application, then click the "Submit" button at the bottom
  3. Obtain your supervisor's signature and e-mail the application to Juliet Manragh or Patrick Croff at hrstraining@brooklyn.cuny.edu or deliver to 1219 Boylan Hall, Office of HRS.
