Eligibility
M-PEER aims to address the shortage of minority individuals in biomedical and behavioral science research. Therefore, students interested in joining M-PEER must adhere to the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Be a member of a group that is under-presented in the biomedical sciences, including, but not limited to: African American/Black, Latino/Hispanic, Pacific Islander, or Native American
- Be a Freshman, Sophomore, or first-semester transfer student
- GPA of 3.0 or higher for freshmen students
- GPA of 3.2 or higher for sophomores and transfer students
- Must carry a full-time course load each semester (12 credits minimum)
- Must declare a major in the sciences
- Have a background in Mathematics and Science
