Trips

These are a few of the upcoming trips for the 2012–13 school year:

West Point Tour, Lunch at Thayer Hotel, U.S. Military Museum

We will take an exciting guided tour of the United States Military Academy at West Point. There is no better way to experience the sweep of American history than a tour of West Point. (Tour will be on a bus, with limited walking). We will then have a buffet lunch at the elegant and regal Thayer Hotel, located on West Point's grounds. After lunch we will visit the West Point Museum, the oldest and largest military museum in the Western hemisphere. Along with the excellent collection of military memorabilia, the museum also contains art, scientific and engineering exhibits as well as exhibits tracing the history of both West Point and the U.S. Army.

Note: West Point is a functioning military post. Everyone taking the tour must show a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver license (or nondriver license) or passport. Members must provide their date of birth and indicate the photo ID they will show at West Point. A MetroCard is not acceptable.

Discover Pennsylvania Again

Tour famous Beth Sholom Synagogue, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The building evokes an image of a mountain. If you have a problem climbing steps, there is a medical chairlift for people to use one at a time. Walkers are not permitted. Lunch will follow at Spasso Italian Grill, one of our favorites. We'll also take a guided tour of the famous Masonic Temple, the oldest existing fraternal organization in the world. This magnificent architectural landmark is noted for its majestic large halls and exquisite furnishings.
