Housing
Unfortunately, the Graduate Center of the City University of New York does not have dormitory facilities. Nor does the Latin/Greek Institute's calendar of classes coincide with the summer calendars of other universities in the area. There is, however, a private company, Educational Housing Services, which provides dormitory rooms for students in various colleges and universities in New York and which will have rooms available this summer in several of their facilities. We will also be able to use the facilities of International House.
Please state on your housing application to either organization that you will be a student in the Latin/Greek Institute and want to room with another LGI student.

Summer room rates for June 2 through Aug. 17 are listed below. You must ask for an extension to Aug. 21. There is a nonrefundable membership fee for all students of $250.
Weller Building
In Brooklyn, about 25 minutes from the Graduate Center.
- Double Rooms — $4,000 (per person)
- Single Rooms — $4,900
New Yorker Hotel
About 15 minutes from the Graduate Center.
- Double Rooms — $4,550 (per person)
- Large Double Rooms — $5,000 (per person)
- Single Rooms — $5,800
- Large Single Rooms — $6,100
International House
About 25 minutes from the Graduate Center, near Columbia University. Prices vary depending upon whether the room (not air-conditioned) faces the park and whether there is a sink in the room. The bathroom is down the hall. There are laundry rooms, a 24-hour lounge, computer lab, music practice rooms, gym, cafeteria, TV lounge and mailroom.
