A Celebration for Hardy Hansen

The Latin/Greek Institute, with the Classics Department of Brooklyn College, welcomes all to join in honoring Hardy Hansen for his contributions as teacher, mentor and director.

The Hansen Prize

The celebration will mark the establishment of the new Hansen Prize for the Latin/Greek Institute, named in honor of Hardy. The Hansen Prize will award a cost-of-living stipend to outstanding applicants. When paired with a tuition scholarship from the Floyd L. Moreland Fund, the Hansen Prize will enable students of merit to pursue the summer-long study of Latin or Greek at the institute. Please RSVP to Katherine Lu Hsu by April 15.
