Bilal Ibrahim studies the vast, and largely unexplored, body of literature on theology (kalām), philosophy, Sufism, and science produced after 12th century in the Islamicate world. He is especially interested in the dynamic relationships that develop between the evolving traditions of theology, philosophy, science, legal theory, and Sufism.
