Hui Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at Brooklyn College. His recent and current research is on a few problems in wireless networks, wireless sensor networks, system and network security, and software engineering. The main theme unifies his research is probabilistic modelling and simulation that have led to his recent exploration in software engineering, that is, mining users' interaction traces with large and complex software and systems. Prior to his career in Computer and Information Science, he had been involved in geophysical research. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ACM. Actively engaged in the computing community, he has been serving on program committees of computing and communications technical conferences, journal reviewers, journal editorial boards, and journal guest editors.
