Laura Rifkin's research centers around consumer behavior. Specific interests include reputation management, the sharing economy, psychological contracts, and obesity. Her publications include Coca-Cola and the Fight against the Global Obesity Epidemic, Thunderbird International Business Review 2018 and presentations in a number of conferences including the AMA Winter Conferences in 2018 to 2020, and ACR in 2019.
Dr. Rifkin has taught at the CUNY since 2009, most recently as Assistant Professor in Marketing at Brooklyn College.
Prior to teaching Dr. Rifkin had a wide and varied marketing career working for major corporations, advertising agencies and market research companies including Citibank, Pfizer, AT&T, Geico, Coors Brewing Company and Grey International. In her capacity at Grey, she was the founder and director of Grey Direct in Puerto Rico.
Dr. Rifkin holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a B.S. in Business and Economics from Lehigh University
