Research Activities
In January of 2011 I visited the University of Liberia, where I discussed the creation of a program in computer technology with the university's director of information services and the president. The program would consist of eight courses that would prepare students to set up and maintain computer systems and networks. The university is interested in the program. I am currently seeking funding for the proposal. 2011
On sabbatical, I worked with astrophysicists at the American Museum of Natural History to improve its modeling of planet formation and similar phenomena using a class of computer processor recently made available to the scientific community at large. We had moderate success last year and are continuing to work on the project. 2009
