Kiyoka Koizumi is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist(MCHES)and has taught the following courses at Brooklyn College: Personal & Community Health, Health Care system in the U.S., School & Community Health Education, Community Health Program Planning, Health Program Evaluation, Health Education Techniques, Healthy Aging, International Health, U.S. Health Care Administration. Koizumi's research interests includes health of the elderly, women's reproductive rights and mental health care in Japan. Koizumi is a member of the following professional organizations: President (2007-08) of the GNYSOPHE(Greater New York Society for Public Health Education; National SOPHE; Public Health Association of New York City; American Public Health Association; and International Union for Health Education.
