Lynn Thomson is a dramaturg, director, teacher and writer. For more than 25 years, she has concentrated on the development and production of new American plays. As dramturg, she has worked on Broadway (Rent), Off-Broadway (Circle Repertory Company, Atlantic Theatre Company) and at many regional theaters. She has directed more than 100 productions, innumerable readings and workshops at theaters around the country (Drama Department, Playwrights Horizons, Public Theatre, Philadelphia Theatre Company, Woolly Mammoth). For five years, she was dramaturg at Circle Repertory Company; she was resident director at New Dramatists (2004-05). She is co-author of Between the Lines: The Process of Dramaturgy and author of articles in American Theatre, Theatre Topics and Journal of American Drama and Theatre. She is founder and artistic director of America-in-Play. She teaches in the PIMA program and the Department of Theater (play analysis and American theater).
