Environmental Studies

Our environmental studies program is a cure for what worries you about our planet.

You look around and see a world that is under attack from a variety of natural and manmade sources, and you want to do something to help. You can start to make a difference by earning a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies at Brooklyn College. Our courses in everything from mineralogy to urban sustainability to hydrogeology of water resources will introduce you to the challenges facing both our local regions and the global community, and to the potential solutions. Whether you end up choosing a career in business, government, journalism, politics or teaching, your degree will prepare you to make a profound difference in the future of our planet.

Only through understanding the environment will we be able to make better choices and find new ways of becoming sustainable and more in tune with nature.
