You’ll compose scores that become standards.

Music Composition and Performance

Rock out with our programs in music performance and composition.

Are you looking to pursue a career as a professional musician? If your instrument is your voice, you’ll be able to develop and refine your talents in our undergraduate program in music performance. You will receive expert tutelage from our skilled faculty about music theory and history, along with eight semesters of weekly private studio lessons. The program culminates with your very own public solo recital. And if your instrument is a pen — or a computer — our program in composition provides weekly private lessons, for up to eight semesters, that are designed to give you the qualities you’ll need to make it in the highly competitive world of music.

The Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College allows me to pursue my musical talent yet still gives me ample freedom to explore.
