Political Science

Elect to major in political science on your way to changing the world.

You know that, for better or worse, politics affects everything we do. If you are looking for a political science program that integrates academic rigor with real-world experience, then look no further. Our program will provide you with a basis for many career options because we offer an expansive array of courses. We teach you about the structure and operation of politics and power, from the U.S. legislative process to human rights and world politics to the political systems of Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Throughout your education, we seek to develop in you a sense of social responsibility by encouraging involvement in community and public service, both through our course work and through our internship program in urban fieldwork and in the New York State Legislature.

To me, political science means a chance to research something you are passionate about and take action to make progressive change.
