Psychology

Unravel the mysteries of the human mind.

You are intrigued by how people think and behave. You want to explore how the mind controls everything we do — from our ethical judgments to what triggers abnormal conduct. Our program will teach you the major concepts, theories, findings and historical trends of psychology as well as basic research methods, including designing experiments, data analysis and interpretation. You will learn to apply psychological principles to personal, social and organizational issues, and develop an appreciation of sociocultural and economic diversity. By the time you graduate, you will have acquired the ability to weigh evidence, tolerate ambiguity, act ethically, and communicate effectively.

People always assume that psychology is a rudimentary science; it’s anything but. At Brooklyn College, I’ve learned there are always new things to discover and so much research involved to support the findings.
