Entering Transfer Students

The number of Pathways courses you will be required to take at Brooklyn College depends on your transfer credit evaluation.

If you have an A.A. or A.S. degree from a domestic college:

Requirements for the Required Core and Flexible Core are fulfilled. You must fulfill two courses from Part A of the College Option.

If you have an A.A.S. degree from a domestic college:

You must complete any requirements of the Required Core and Flexible Core not fulfilled by your transfer credit evaluation. You must also fulfill two courses (six credits) from Part A of the College Option.

If you transfer more than 30 credits with no associate's degree:

You must complete any requirements of the Required Core and Flexible Core not fulfilled by your transfer credit evaluation. You must also fulfill three courses (nine credits) in the College Option, including two courses from Part A and one course from Part B.

If you transfer 30 or fewer credits:

You must complete any requirements of the Required Core and Flexible Core not fulfilled by your transfer credit evaluation. You must also fulfill four courses (12 credits) in the College Option, including two courses from Part A and two courses from Part B.

Note:

If you have fulfilled College Option course requirements in a previous CUNY baccalaureate program, your College Option requirement at Brooklyn College will be reduced.
