Student Career Services

The Koppelman School of Business works closely with the Magner Career Center to offer our students events and services designed to prepare them for a successful career. Through partnerships with employers, alumni, faculty, and staff, the center develops programs to meet the specific needs of the students in the business school.

Recent graduates of the Koppelman School of Business who actively prepared for their career by participating in internships and using the Magner Career Center's services have found career success after graduation. Graduates since 2004 hold prestigious positions including account executive at Xerox, global standards training and communications manager at HSBC, manager at EY FAAS, tax senior at Marks Paneth, SAP project analyst at Bloomberg LP, partner developer at xAd, Inc, AVP at Bank of America, manager at Deloitte Advisory, VP client experience manager at Citi, equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs, area director at Citibank, casualty claims adjuster at York Risk Services Group, buyer—contemporary sportswear at Lord & Taylor, and strategy director at Havas Media.

Internships and Employers

Through job fairs, the internship database, and internship panels, the Magner Career Center gives Koppelman School of Business students access to internships and employers at a wide variety of companies, including Sony Entertainment, PwC, New York City Department of Finance, HSBC, Bloomberg, KPMG, Deutsche Bank, Con Edison, UBS, The Society Model Management, EY, State Farm Insurance, Allstate, Enterprise, Duane Reade, and FINRA.

Unable to afford to work an unpaid internship?

The Magner Career Center selects winners from each school to receive internship stipends. Winners are selected twice a year, and students should apply the semester before they plan to intern.

Mentors have come from organizations including Goldman Sachs, EY, Citigroup, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, PwC, Black Stone Group, Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, and CSFB. The center also hosts mentor luncheons and networking nights as another way to connect students with alumni.

Career Workshops and Panels

The Magner Career Center and the Koppelman School of Business bring back successful alumni to serve as speakers and participants in career workshops and panels, mentor luncheons, and networking nights. Past participants include the executive director of EY, a partner from KPMG, an AVP of group operational risk management from Deutsche Bank, a managing director at BNY Mellon, and the assistant vice president from The Blackstone Group.
