ECON 3251 Urban Sustainability Theory
3 lecture; 3 credits
Interdisciplinary intellectual history and contemporary questions, debates, and theories surrounding urban sustainability. Theoretical contributions from natural sciences, economics, and sociology to understanding the human-nature interface in urban environments; analysis and synthesis of primary texts and policy documents. This course is the same as Earth and Environmental Sciences 1501 and Sociology 3201.
Prerequisite: Earth and Environmental Sciences 1500 or Economics 2251 or Sociology 2202
