Areas of Expertise:
Brumberg's field of study is American educational history, especially the intersection of immigration, religion and formal schooling. His particular time focus is the 19th century and turn of the 20th century. His professional education focus is school curriculum (historical and contemporary), which he has taught for many years in the Educational Leadership Program. He also served for a year as the senior assistant to the New York City Schools Chancellor Raymond Cortines.
