Childhood, Bilingual, and Special Education
You are a generalist who enjoys many subjects and thrills at the thought of educating children at the age when they’re just beginning to discover their own intellectual preferences.
Childhood education, part of the Department of Childhood, Bilingual, and Special Education, prepares undergraduates for a career in education, teaching children in grades one through six. Our curriculum is particularly tailored to New York State educational standards. You’ll gain a firm background in a variety of differenttopics, enabling you to teach students subjects ranging from social studies to math to science. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice in the field.
