Max Blum

Adjunct Professor, Conservatory Singers Director

Max Blum has directed the Brooklyn College Choral Union since the start of 2013. A recent graduate of the Yale School of Music, Blum has studied conducting with Masaaki Suzuki, Simon Carrington, Dale Warland, Simon Halsey, Marguerite Brooks and Jeffrey Douma, and has conducted choral ensembles on four continents as well as at Carnegie Hall. In addition to his work at Brooklyn College, he currently serves as adjunct professor of choral music at Quinnipiac University, interim director of music at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin (Chappaqua, N.Y.) and assistant conductor of the New Amsterdam Singers (New York).
