Professor Arturo O’Farrill, head of Jazz Ensembles at the Conservatory, has followed up on his award at last year’s Grammy’s with two more nominations for his band’s latest recording. Arturo O’Farrill & the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra’s Cuba: The Conversation Continues has been nominated for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album and Best Instrumental Composition (“The Afro Latin Jazz Suite”).
