Facilities
Film students are in a unique position, as they have access to excellent post-production software and rooms for productions and meetings. The undergraduate Film Department offers ample classroom space, two Macintosh computer labs, and two surround sound screening rooms for film studies courses. Classrooms used exclusively by the Film Department are equipped with state-of-the-art audio/video technology. Professors screen films from DVDs and BluRay discs using Crestron Smart Podiums that allow for a rich technologically based learning environment.
The department offers two Macintosh Editing labs that are open Monday–Thursday, 9.a.m.–8 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. The labs offer the latest post-production software and access to the state-of-the-art AVID Server for fast workflows and protected files.

237 WEB Macintosh Lab Computers
237 WEB Macintosh Lab Computers have installed the current Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Final Cut Pro, AVID Media Composer, and AVID ProTools. Twenty workstations also have EP Budgeting and EP Scheduling.

228 WEB contains a screening room, complete with a 40-inch flat-panel HDTV and a 5.1 Dolby surround system.
Sound Editing and Design
237 and 239 WEB
Both 237 and 239 WEB Macintosh Labs have AVID ProTools and access to our AVID Server. Depending on what class you are enrolled in, the workspaces on the main server provide access to a Sound Effects Library full of copyright free sounds.
In addition to these work spaces, students have access to their very own studio for student productions, and a conference room for auditions, production meetings, and Film Society Student Club activities. A large common area provides an excellent meeting environment and place to test out gear as needed from the Equipment Room.
