Video Post-production and Multimedia Production
The Department of Television and Radio offers courses that focus on video post-production, giving students an opportunity to hone critical thinking skills through visual problem solving. The post-production workflow is becoming increasingly complex, yet having a clear understanding and sometimes proficiency in it is expected from all modern-day media producers. The editor's role includes shaping content, pacing, visual style and, most important, storytelling.
Because of the ever-changing landscape of television and radio production, in our multimedia courses television and radio goes beyond traditional production and ventures into the up-and-coming standards for the television media industry. Animations, graphics, interactive elements, online platforms and “transmedia" production become the focus of multimedia production, giving students a chance to experiment with cross-platform narratives and develop the skills necessary to navigate this constantly changing world. With the multitude avenues to tell stories, understanding the effectiveness for individual ideas becomes critical to the success of the media narrative in the 21st century.
