Christian Grov is deputy chair of Graduate Health Programs and Campus Director for the CUNY School of Public Health. Grov joined Brooklyn in 2008 and was cross-appointed to the Graduate Center's DPH program in 2011. He received postdoctoral training at the National Development and Research Institutes. He has been collaborating with the Center for HIV/AIDS Educational Studies and Training since 2003 and working in HIV prevention since 1999. Grov has an active research program in the areas of sexuality and HIV. He is principal investigator on a five-year NIH/NIDA-funded study of HIV risk and resilience in a U.S. sample of men who have sex with men. He was PI on a three-year NIH-funded (NIGMS/NIAID) study longitudinally tracking the association between HIV risks and venues where gay and bisexual men meet their partners. In addition, he is co-principal investigator on 4.5-year NIH/NIMH longitudinal study following highly sexually active gay and bisexual men.
