Keith Harrow has been a member of the Computer and Information Science Department since 1973. He is the author or co-author of a number of computer science textbooks, including introductory programming texts in Pascal, C and C++. He has earned several grants from NASA and from the PSC-CUNY Research Award Program, and he has worked with colleagues in CIS and elsewhere on a number of other projects. He has served as president of the BC Chapter of Sigma Xi and Phi Beta Kappa. Harrow has been coordinator of the introductory programming course for over 30 years, and he recently stepped down as CIS graduate deputy chairperson, after holding that position for more than 25 years. He has served as a member of a number of Faculty Council Committees, including terms as chairperson of both the Graduate and Undergraduate Curriculum Committees.
