37 hours plus conference and independent work; 3 credits

A comprehensive introduction to the mathematical and logical techniques relevant to understanding the structure of social algorithms (social software). The study of social institutions, including electoral systems, using techniques from mathematics and computer science, including probability, game theory, and logic. (This course is the same as Computer and Information Science 7422X.)

Prerequisite: Mathematics 7273T [606.1T] or its equivalent
