- a minimum of 12 credits in psychology, and
- courses in psychological statistics and in research methods, with a grade of B or better in both courses.

International Applicants
International transcripts must be evaluated by a professional agency accredited by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). If you received your baccalaureate (undergraduate) degree or master's (graduate) degree from an institution where English is not the sole official language of instruction, you must submit an official score from TOEFL or IELTS. The minimum language requirement for the program is 61 (TOEFL-IBT) or 6.0 (IELTS). See here for more information.
Application Procedure
- Complete an online application form.
- Submit supporting documents to the Office of Graduate Admissions. The following documents should be mailed to the office with this cover sheet (pdf). Applications will not be considered unless they include the following supporting documents:
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- An essay on personal background, experiences, interests, and goals relevant to program (maximum three pages).
- Two letters of recommendation are also required. Recommendations can be submitted by mail or online.
- To submit by mail, ask your recommenders to send their letters directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions in a sealed envelope. The cover sheet (pdf) should be included with the letter.
- To submit online, provide the names and e-mail addresses of your recommenders in your online application form. Recommenders will receive an e-mail from the Office of Graduate Admissions within 48 hours of your application submission. Note that e-mails to requesters will be sent only after you have submitted your application, so be sure to allow your recommenders enough time to submit their letters before the application deadline.
