Facilities for Graduate Study in Psychology

The Psychology Department contains well-equipped modern laboratories. Research areas include:

  1. cognitive, computational and behavioral neuroscience,
  2. applied and clinical neuroscience,
  3. cognitive psychology,
  4. social psychology and social cognition, and
  5. basic sensory processes. 

Offices and laboratories of the program are equipped with networked computer facilities, and the college has extensive computer facilities for student use. All doctoral students are provided with office space with dedicated computers and internet access. The university also provides computer accounts and computing facilities for all doctoral students.

Students have access to the Brooklyn College Library as well as to the Mina Rees Library of the Graduate School at the Graduate Center at 5 Avenue and 34 Street and to the resources of other CUNY and New York City libraries, including the New York Public Library at 42 Street.
