Course Syllabi

Important Notices

Hybrid laboratory courses in Spring 2021

Beginning in Spring 2021, the Department of Chemistry will be running some laboratory sections in a hybrid mode. The following courses are affected: Chem 2100, 3415, 3420, 3512, 3522, and 4620.

If you are not in one of these courses, you are unaffected by this change and your laboratory sessions will be entirely online in Spring 2021.

If you are in one of these courses you should check your registration in CUNYFirst to see if your section is labeled "Hybrid" or "Online".

If you are registered for Chem 3415, 3420, or 4620 and do not want to attend laboratory in person, or if you have questions about the course, please contact your laboratory instructor. Your instructor's name is given in CUNYFirst, and you can find their e-mail address in the campus directory.

If you are registered for Chem 2100, 3512, or 3522, please consult this FAQ. You will find the answers to many questions, and instructions on how you can choose to take the course online rather than as a hybrid.

This process was undertaken for your benefit as a student, as the laboratory is an essential part of your education.

New Course: CHEM 2110

The Department of Chemistry has created a new course, Chemistry 2110. Students who intend to take CHEM 3511 should register for both CHEM 2100 and 2110.
