An introduction to mathematical cryptography. Various cryptographic systems. Basic cryptanalytic attacks. Modern cryptographic systems; authentication; factorization attacks. This course is the same as Mathematics 3107 [18.5].
Prerequisite: Mathematics 2101 [10.1] or permission of the chair.
