30 hours plus conference each term; 3 credits each term

Study of processes of political and economic change of East Asia. Governments and institutions, political cultures, state-society relations, a nd political leadership in East Asian countries, including China, Japan, and Korea. Differing patterns of development, foreign policy, and security issues of region?s countries.
