Gertrud Lenzer is coordinator (since 1994) and director (since 1997), Children's Studies Program, Brooklyn College; professor, Ph.D. Program in Sociology, CUNY Graduate Center (since 1984); and professor of sociology at Brooklyn College (since 1980; associate professor, 1973-80; assistant professor, 1971-72). Previously, she was visiting instructor of sociology, NYU (1962-63); research associate, Kinsey Institute, Indiana (1963); research fellow, Nuffield College, Oxford (1964); postdoc fellow in American studies, American Council of Learned Societies (1964-66); postdoc fellow, Sociology Dept, Columbia (1964-66); visiting assistant professor of sociology, NYU (1968-69); visiting associate professor of sociology, UC-Berkeley (1972-73); Rockefeller Foundation fellow in the humanities (1977-78); visiting member, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton (1977-78); fellow, National Humanities Center (1980-81); and visiting scholar, Sociology Dept, UNC-Chapel Hill (1981-82).
