Analysis of the internal structure of words in natural languages. Examination of the nature of the morpheme and of word-formation processes including inflection, derivation, and compounding. Interface between morphology and other levels of linguistic analysis. This course is the same as Speech 2720 [20].
Prerequisite: Linguistics 2001 [1] or Anthropology 2301 [2.3].
