Survey of twentieth-century fiction, drama, poetry of sub-Saharan Africa. Works by such authors as Achebe, Ekwensi, Emecheta, Ngugi, Oyono, Laye, Dadie, Clark, Sembene, Senghor, Soyinka. This course is the same as Africana Studies 3205 [24.8].
Prerequisite: English 1010 [1]
