A historical overview of the values, institutions, and cultural heritage of Italy from the origins to the mid-twentieth century. Discussions and frequent writing assignments using a variety of approaches and supplementary materials from the Italian print, broadcast, and electronic media. Field trips to museums and cultural events. May be taken concurrently with or after Italian *2018 [4.8], 2024, or 2030W.
Prerequisite: Italian 1030 or permission of the chairperson.
