Knowledge of the basic structures of the Spanish language and the specialized medical vocabulary needed to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients in a variety of health care situations. Cultural readings in Spanish and English and interview techniques emphasize the health beliefs of Spanish-speaking countries and Spanish-speaking communities within the United States. Appropriate for all health-related disciplines. Course is taught in Spanish and English. Not the equivalent of Spanish *1010 [1].
