Areas of Expertise:
Bernd Renner specializes in early modern literature and culture. Lately, his work within this field has focused on the literature of satire, which underwent major changes in the period, combining Greek, Latin and medieval vernacular traditions into an innovative literary blend that infiltrated all the traditional literary genres of the time and serves as a major element of the cultural, literary and historical landscape of the Renaissance.
