Careers for Philosophy Majors

General Career Advice

For general advice about what to do once you have graduated, we urge you to explore the resources offered by the Magner Career Center, 1303 James Hall.

Each semester the Magner Career Center offers Brooklyn College students an array of career workshops and seminars, résumé reviews, interview training, internships, networking, job/internship fairs, professional skills training, company visits and much more. You can access all of the career programs by simply registering with the Magner Career Center through the BC WebCentral portal and selecting the Career Tab. Be sure to check the center's schedule regularly.

You should also view the flyer on 8 Great Reasons Brooklyn College Students Should Intern. It includes a link to Internship 101 material, which has all the information you need, from finding an internship to advice on how to be a standout intern.

The earlier that you connect with the Magner Career Center, the sooner you will have access to the resources that you need to turn your academic training into career success. Don't delay. Even first-year students are urged to visit the center.
