Women and politics in the context of the United States of America. Gaining the right to vote; the Equal Rights Amendment; women as political leaders; racial and ethnic diversity of U.S. women; the "gender gap." Policy issues including the feminization of poverty and social welfare. This course is the same as Women's Studies 3351 .
Prerequisite: Core Studies 3 or Core Curriculum 1230 or Political Science 1001 or 1002 or 1003 or 1004 or 1005 or 1006.
