Chi Alpha Epsilon

Alpha Nu Chapter

Alpha Nu, established in May 2001, is the Brooklyn College chapter of Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE), the national honor society for opportunity program students. Chi Alpha Epsilon was organized in 1990 to recognize the academic achievement of students admitted to colleges and universities through non-traditional criteria who utilize developmental education support services.

Purpose

  • To promote continued high academic standards
  • To foster increased communication among its members
  • To honor the academic excellence of those students admitted to college via developmental program pathways

Membership Requirements

  • A 3.00 cumulative GPA with 45 credits
  • Admission to the college via SEEK
  • Completion of all basic skills requirements
