Speech Communication Arts and Sciences
Language is the key to successful communication.
Our speech communication arts and sciences program is considered one of the best of its kind in the country. You'll receive the kind of in-depth training needed to be an effective communicator in such fields as finance, management and public relations. In our speech science program, you will be taught to recognize, evaluate and rehabilitate difficulties with speech and hearing. Through course work, you'll become familiar with theories of language development. You'll also learn about the anatomy, physiology and neurology that make speech and hearing possible. Through clinical work and internships, you'll work with people of all ages in many different kinds of careers that require expert communication skills, in settings ranging from schools and hospitals to private practice.
