Attention to general effectiveness in communication with emphasis on manner of speaking, voice, and diction. Exercises and projects in speaking and reading. For native speakers of American English. (Not open to students who are enrolled in or have completed Speech 1111 [10.1]. Not open to students who have completed more than five credits in speech.)
Prerequisite: completion of course assigned at speech screening interview.
