Studying abroad for a short term, semester, or a year helps strengthen your curriculum, provides global experience, expands your horizons and opportunities, allows you to learn or practice a foreign language, and earns credit toward your degree.

Students are not limited to Brooklyn College programs. They may choose to participate in study abroad programs through other CUNY institutions (visit Global CUNY for a full schedule of CUNY programs that are available), SUNY institutions, or other study abroad providers.

Summer 2023 Application Steps

  1. Discuss your plans with a study abroad adviser.
  2. Submit your program information through the Brooklyn College WebCentral portal.
  3. Apply to your program of interest, if hosted by a partner university or a study abroad provider.
  4. Apply for scholarships.
