1. File Your FAFSA and TAP Applications

Federal Student Aid—Applying for Aid

TAP

The easiest way to file your TAP application is through the FAFSA. Once you file the FAFSA, you will receive a link to the TAP application. Make sure you follow the prompts to successfully file the TAP application.

According to the New York State Dream Act, some students may qualify to file only a TAP application.

2. Use the Net Price Calculator to Estimate Your Costs

3. Check CUNYfirst TO Finalize Your Aid

You may need to submit documents to finalize your aid. Log in to CUNYfirst to see if you have to submit documents.

  • Note to parents or persons assisting students: To comply with federal education laws, financial aid staff are prohibited from disclosing information to you about the student unless you accompany the student and he or she consents to the disclosure during the interaction. Alternatively, the student may file a FERPA release form with the Office of the Registrar, giving written authorization to disclose such information to you in the student’s absence.
  • Agencies or entities with inquiries should contact the Financial Aid Office via e-mail.
